Despite the loss, Broadwater Academy still got an impressive performance from Quinn Ames, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for him. Grayson Ross was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five assists.
Chincoteague was led to victory by Jordan Harper and Jake Harper. Harper scored 15 points along with nine assists and six steals, while Harper scored 27 points along with six steals. The match was Harper's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Austin Adams, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Broadwater Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Chincoteague, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Broadwater Academy will take on Denbigh Baptist Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Chincoteague won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Holly Grove Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 4th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Holly Grove Christian is ranked 297th in Maryland, while Chincoteague is ranked 296th in Virginia).
