It was a good run, but The Eastern Guilford Wildcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 35-10 walloping at the hands of Dudley. The low total for Eastern Guilford limited their streak of high-flying scores to three in a row.
Dudley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Andrew Attmore II out in front who threw for 328 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt. Nasir Newkirk was another key contributor, picking up 125 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Eastern Guilford's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Dudley, their victory was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 10-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern Guilford will take on Central Davidson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Davidson will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Dudley, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against West Iredell at 7:00 p.m. West Iredell is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
