Having just played yesterday, the Plantation Colonels will get right back to it and host the McArthur Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Plantation has not done well against Hallandale recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Plantation walked away with a 57-48 victory over Hallandale.
Plantation's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Daterrius Heller, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds, and Jabari Washington, who scored 18 points. Washington has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played.
McArthur posted their closest win yet this season on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Monsignor Pace 51-49. The score was all tied up 25-25 at the break, but McArthur was the better team in the second half.
Plantation's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for McArthur, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season.
