The Fullington Academy Trojans and the Flint River Academy Wildcats squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Fullington Academy Trojans had to settle for second. Fullington Academy was dealt a 42-6 defeat at the hands of Flint River Academy. Fullington Academy lost against Flint River Academy in their previous head to head back in October, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 41-0 score last time.
Trenton Young was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 56 yards and four touchdowns. Flint River Academy also got a significant boost from Cale Cartwright, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 100 yards.
Fullington Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Flint River Academy, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Fullington Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Flint River Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Robert Toombs Christian Academy at 2:00 p.m. on December 1st. Robert Toombs Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
