The Hobbs Eagles will square off against the Carlsbad Cavemen at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
On Thursday, Hobbs made easy work of Clovis and carried off a 14-1 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

Hobbs got a massive performance out of Sol Rangel, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three hits gave Rangel a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Zambrano, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Hobbs hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 8-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Carlsbad got the win against Roswell on Friday by a conclusive 13-3.
Makayla Chester was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Addyson Vallejos was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
The victory got Carlsbad back to even at 9-9. As for Hobbs, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hobbs hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .406. However, it's not like Carlsbad struggles in that department as they've averaged .370. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
