The Oswego East Wolves will challenge the Kaneland Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oswego East will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Oswego East is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Joliet Central 22-1 on Monday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.
Olivia Owles made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Owles was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Oswego East got a massive performance out of Katie Maday, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Those five RBI gave Maday a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addy Dunn, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Oswego East always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Kaneland nor Rochelle made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Knights' pitchers stepped up to hand the Hubs a 5-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Hubs: they've now won six in a row.
Kaneland let Addison Coulter and Maddie Anderson run wild. Coulter went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Anderson went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelina Campise, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.
Oswego East's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Kaneland, their win bumped their record up to 12-10.
Kaneland's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Oswego East hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .346. It's a different story for Kaneland, though, as they've only averaged .257. Will they be able to contain Oswego East's hitters?
Oswego East came up short against Kaneland in their previous meeting back in April of 2019, falling 6-2. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
