California moved up to 465 from 525 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Del Rio. The Condors were able to move up by topping Whittier 16-14.
El Rancho was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. The Dons beat Pioneer 62-21 earlier in the week.
RYAN ARAUJO provided a threat through the air and on the ground as El Rancho defeated the Titans. He completed 12 passes for 174 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 196 yards. ARAUJO's favorite target this week was JAVIER CARILLO, who caught 5 passes for 88 yards.
Frankie Palmer threw for 179 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Palmer put up the best numbers through the air as La Serna topped Santa Fe. Palmer's favorite target this week was Matthew Rosales, who caught 3 passes for 80 yards.
5-foot-10 quarterback Palmer of the Lancers is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,264. He has also thrown 11 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Brandon Takata. The Santa Fe star has 30 catches for 564 yards.
Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when the Chiefs' Takata goes up against the Cardinals' Gerry Pantoja.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Pioneer takes on La Serna. Chuck Willig's team is currently in fifth, while Margarito Beltran's team is in first.
California and Whittier played the closest game in Del Rio this week, with California eventually emerging with a 16-14 victory.
