Macyah Fleming and Landers Cox provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Whetstone. The connection went for 66 yards, the longest such play in Columbus City - North this season.
Beechcroft's Cox recorded the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against Linden-McKinley last week. Cox scampered for 62 yards on the play and finished with 140 on the day as his team topped the Panthers.
David Peoples was a force in the backfield as Brookhaven bested the Braves.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Braves' FINNEGAN and SIMMONS have proven to be a lethal combination. FINNEGAN has thrown for 1,146 yards this season, while SIMMONS, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 20 catches for 399 yards. Beechcroft's Adonis Davis leads the league in rushing yards with 503.
An important game coming up in Columbus City - North this week will be when Northland takes on Centennial. As it stands, the Vikings are in first, while the Stars are in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Mifflin takes on Bruce Ward's team. The Punchers have allowed 92 points this season, while the Cougars have given up 64. Mifflin allowed 14 points last week as it defeated Centennial.
