Last Thursday, Pleasant Grove couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were given a punishing 13-51 defeat at the hands of Placer.
Christian Brothers had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past Monterey Trail with a 13-8 victory.
Pleasant Grove's loss took them down to 0-1 while Christian Brothers's triumph pulled them up to write [team] current record. A win for Pleasant Grove would reverse both their bad luck and Christian Brothers's good luck.
