The Saratoga Falcons will challenge the MacDonald Condor at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Saratoga is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
Saratoga's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Cupertino as they made off with an 11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won nine games by eight runs or more so far this season.
The result came thanks to Saira Ramakrishnan's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks. Those 14 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Sydney Riera was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Tham, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Saratoga was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cupertino only posted a batting average of .111.
Meanwhile, MacDonald came up short against Santa Clara on Wednesday, falling 19-5. The Condor have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
MacDonald saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Salceda, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Kyleena Stone was another, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Saratoga's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for MacDonald, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
MacDonald's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Saratoga has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. It's a different story for MacDonald, though, as they've been averaging 8.8 hits. Given Saratoga's sizable advantage in that area, the Condor will need to find a way to close that gap.
Saratoga took their win against MacDonald when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 15-2 score. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Condor turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
