There's no place like home for Wewahitchka, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Blountstown Tigers 7-6 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Gators as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Jayla Clayton and Eden Rustin did most of the damage at the plate: Clayton got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Rustin went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits Rustin has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Rustin, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Wewahitchka's win bumped their record up to 5-16. As for Blountstown, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-12.

Wewahitchka has already played their next contest, an 18-11 victory against Vernon on the 17th. As for Blountstown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 5-4 win against Bozeman on the 17th.
