There's no place like home for the West Point Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 65-54 victory over Lawrence County on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for West Point, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Lawrence County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zander Keepers, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Keepers set a new season high mark in steals with five. Another player making a difference was Jackson Smith, who scored ten points.
West Point pushed their record up to 10-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Lawrence County, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Point will be home for the holidays to greet Vinemont at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Lawrence County will be home for the holidays to greet Hatton at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
