The Lake Region Thunder will be playing at home against the Auburndale Bloodhounds at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Lake Region will be strutting in after a win while Auburndale will be coming in after a loss.
After only 23 points in their last matchup, Lake Region made sure to put some points up on the board against Jordan Christian Prep on Thursday. Lake Region strolled past Jordan Christian Prep with points to spare, taking the game 60-42.
Lake Region got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Le?Zaria Davis out in front who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Destiny Witherspoon , who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Auburndale, who are still winless after their fourth game. They had to suffer through a rough 55-2 loss at the hands of George Jenkins. Auburndale has not had much luck with George Jenkins recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Lake Region now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Auburndale, the last time they won on the road was back last Wednesday. Having now lost three straight away matches, they've bumped their record down to 0-4.
Lake Region beat Auburndale 48-36 in their previous matchup back in January. Will Lake Region repeat their success, or does Auburndale have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
