Volleyball Recap: Millard Has No Trouble Against Rowland Hall

While Millard didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Rowland Hall Winged Lions on Thursday. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

While Millard won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-23, 25-17.

Olivia Bassett paced Millard's offense, picking up 12 kills. Bassett got some help from Eden Rasmussen and her 16 assists. Sofia Bassett controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Millard's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Rowland Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Millard will head out to take on North Sanpete at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rowland Hall, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against St. Joseph on the 26th.
