The Merritt Island Mustangs won the last time they faced the Space Coast Vipers, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Merritt Island walked away with a 61-53 victory over Space Coast.
Merritt Island can attribute much of their success to Braeden Rouleau, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rouleau has scored all season. Abhishek Joseph was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Merritt Island's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Space Coast, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
Merritt Island will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Cocoa Beach at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Cocoa Beach is ranked 481st, while Merritt Island is ranked 505th). As for Space Coast, they will head out on the road to challenge Titusville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
