The Trezevant Bears will challenge the Bolton Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Trezevant's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Bolton has been banged up by 14 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Trezevant came out on top against Sheffield on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 11-run first inning. The Bears put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 12-4 win. Considering the Bears have won seven matches by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Devin Parker was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three stolen bases, and five RBI. He has become a key player for Trezevant: the team is 6-2 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 3-4-1 otherwise. Rickey Wright was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Trezevant was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .700. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
Fayette Ware hit Bolton with a four-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. Bolton came up short against Fayette Ware, falling 13-3.
Myles Runnels made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Cottrell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases.
Trezevant has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Bolton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Trezevant has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .683. However, it's not like Bolton struggles in that department as they've averaged .494. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Trezevant might still be hurting after the 12-6 defeat they got from Bolton in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
