The Alden-Conger Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 61-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wabasha-Kellogg.
It was another big night for Ileana DeAngel, who shot 7-for-10 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 32 points and 13 rebounds for Wabasha-Kellogg. As a matter of fact, that's the most points DeAngel has scored all season. Madge Strobush was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Alden-Conger's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Wabasha-Kellogg, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alden-Conger will take on Loyola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wabasha-Kellogg, they will be playing at home against Dover-Eyota at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Dover-Eyota presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wabasha-Kellogg in Minnesota (Dover-Eyota is ranked 70th, while Wabasha-Kellogg is ranked 375th).
