After four games on the road, Denver Jewish Day is heading back home. They will take on the Denver Academy Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Denver Jewish Day had to suffer through a rough 72-37 loss at the hands of the Buffaloes. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Denver Jewish Day has scored all season.
Defeat or not, Denver Jewish Day got some senior leadership from Aaron Daniel and Keenan Winnerman. Daniel almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds, while Winnerman. scored 13 points along with two steals and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Daniel pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Solly Bielsky, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Denver Academy pushed their score all the way to 55 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Union Colony Prep 59-55. Denver Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Denver Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Riley Allen, who scored 20 points, and Nolan Monasch who scored 19 points. That was a full 34.5% of Denver Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Denver Jewish Day's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2. As for Denver Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.
Monday's contest is shaping up to be a scrappy match: Denver Jewish Day have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30.3 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Denver Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 12.9 rebounds per game. Given Denver Jewish Day's sizable advantage in that area, the Mustangs will need to find a way to close that gap.
Everything came up roses for Denver Jewish Day against the Mustangs in their previous matchup back in January of 2020 as the squad secured a 70-25 victory. With Denver Jewish Day ahead 39-12 at the half, the game was all but over already.
