Alek Weiland continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his sixth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least three passing touchdowns. He threw for 350 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes.
Springfield Southeast had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Weiland it was a similar story. Lynch Posts Huge Game in 51-6 Win
The second Normal University player making an appearance here is Rhett Lynch, and for good reason. He rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries.
Lynch will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Lanphier on Friday. The Pioneers got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Lions, probably because Lynch had a solid game then too: he rushed for 61 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
