It was a good run, but the Timber Creek Falcons unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Friday. They took a serious blow against V.R. Eaton, falling 72-42. Timber Creek was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as V.R. Eaton apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Timber Creek's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Carter, who scored six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryne Lane, who scored seven points.
Timber Creek's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7. As for V.R. Eaton, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.
Timber Creek will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Celina at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. V.R. Eaton and Braswell will round out the year against one another at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at. Braswell is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
