There's no place like home for the Wewoka Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 48-35 victory over Prague on Tuesday. Given Wewoka's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while Prague is ranked 237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Wewoka had a senior duo take command as Awtumn Sipes-Louie scored 20 points along with five steals and Timber Carter dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. Carter hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Cheyenne Hill, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Wewoka has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Prague, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wewoka will take on Bethel at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Prague, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Holdenville at 6:00 p.m.
