After losing to the Sherwood Warriors the last time they met, the Paint Branch Panthers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Paint Branch came out on top against Sherwood on Thursday by a score of 58-53 (the very same score they lost by the week prior).
Paint Branch was led to victory by Isaiah Lee and Jordan Horm. Lee scored 17 points, while Horm dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lee has scored at least 25% of Paint Branch's points. Dennis Tamnou was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds.
Paint Branch's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. As for Sherwood, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paint Branch will take on Walter Johnson at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sherwood, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Wootton at 7:15 p.m.
