Karli Brabson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Kyla Long was a standout: she scored two runs while going 3-for-4. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Murrell, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.
Eagleton College & Career Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oneida only posted a batting average of .238.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Gatlinburg-Pittman was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 17-2 to Sevier County. The Highlanders haven't had much luck with the Smoky Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
Gatlinburg-Pittman saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sadie Moore, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Gatlinburg-Pittman's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, their record now sits at 14-11-1.
Thursday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Eagleton College & Career Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .480. However, it's not like Gatlinburg-Pittman struggles in that department as they've averaged .444. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
