Westborough will be defending their home turf for the first time on Saturday when they go up against Groton-Dunstable at 2:00 PM. Both teams have had a rocky road up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.
It was all tied up at halftime, but Westborough weren't quite Marlborough's equal in the second half when they met last Saturday. Westborough ended up on the wrong side of a painful 0-21 walloping at Marlborough's hands. The blowout was painful but not necessarily a suprise as Marlborough enjoys a considerable advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Meanwhile, Groton-Dunstable suffered a grim 14-42 defeat to Shrewsbury. Groton-Dunstable were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-28.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
