Trinity hasn't had much luck against Ferndale recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Trinity will welcome Ferndale at 2:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Trinity made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Maxwell, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Trinity blew past Maxwell 10-2 on Saturday. Considering the Wolves have won three matchups by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Jessica Brown made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, she gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on JesseAnn Bickle, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Katlyn Corbett was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
Trinity always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Ferndale never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Calistoga on Saturday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Calistoga.
Like Trinity, Ferndale also got a great game from a two-way player: Olivia Gossi. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Gossi was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Ferndale got a big performance out of Randi Rice, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Rice also got a hit, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Yajaira Cantu-Mendez, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
The win snapped Trinity's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-4 record. As for Ferndale, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Trinity has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .456. However, it's not like Ferndale struggles in that department as they've averaged .463. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
