The McLane Highlanders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 82-55 win over Sanger West. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for James Brown, who scored 24 points along with six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Pamanes, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds.
McLane has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Sanger West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McLane will challenge Madera South at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Madera South is on a three-game streak of home wins, McLane a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Sanger West, they will head out on the road to face off against Fresno at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
