On Monday, things could have been worse for St. Teresa's Catholic, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 50-35 loss to Colquitt Christian Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points St. Teresa's Catholic has scored all season.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Dyland Rangel, who scored 13 points. Ricardo Resendez was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Community Christian Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They put the hurt on First Academy with a sharp 63-42 win. That looming 63-42 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Community Christian Academy yet this season.
Community Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Kylin McDonald, who scored 35 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which McDonald has scored at least a third of Community Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Beau Moore, who scored 15 points.
St. Teresa's Catholic has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Community Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
St. Teresa's Catholic won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup on Tuesday, slipping by Community Christian Academy 63-62.
