Simmons' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Vontasia Rush, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. Meanwhile, South Delta hadn't done well against West Tallahatchie recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way two weeks ago. South Delta came out on top against West Tallahatchie by a score of 55-44.
The victory got South Delta back to even at 5-5. As for Simmons, they pushed their record up to 13-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
