The Carrabec Cobras will face off against the Richmond Bobcats at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Carrabec will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
Carrabec had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Valley on Thursday. The Cobras blew past the Cavaliers 9-2. The Cobras might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Jillian Robinson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Carrabec let Karen Baker and Amiya Tibbetts run wild. Baker went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Tibbetts went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Tibbetts is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Josephine Scheve, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Carrabec hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Richmond's offense. They lost 10-0 to Buckfield on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Bucks: they've now lost five in a row.
Carrabec pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Richmond, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Both Carrabec and Richmond just can't seem to miss. The Cobras have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. However, it's not like Richmond struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Carrabec skirted past Richmond 16-14 in their previous meeting on Friday. Will the Cobras repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
