The Southwind Jaguars won the last time they faced the Ridgeway Roadrunners, and things went their way on Friday too. Southwind narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Ridgeway 41-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Southwind.
It was another big night for Tashawn Hubbard, who scored 12 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Southwind's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Camille Sanders, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Southwind's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Ridgeway, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southwind will take on Bolton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bolton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Ridgeway, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mitchell at 6:00 p.m.
