The St. Edward Beavers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 64-43 walloping at the hands of Fullerton. St. Edward has not had much luck with Fullerton recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite the loss, St. Edward still got an impressive performance from Anthony Reader, who scored 23 points. That was a full 53.5% of St. Edward's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Marcos Paez, who scored six points.
St. Edward's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Fullerton, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
St. Edward will head out on the road to challenge St. Francis on Tuesday. As for Fullerton, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Elba at 7:30 p.m. Elba comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
