After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Grantsville, the Union Cougars were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They walked away with a 47-36 win over Ben Lomond. That looming 47-36 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Union yet this season.
Loss or not, Ben Lomond got some senior leadership from Jazzy Tinajero who scored 16 points along with seven steals and Anahi Flores who scored six points along with two steals.
Union's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12. As for Ben Lomond, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.
Union will head out on the road to square off against Morgan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ben Lomond, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Ogden at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Ogden is ranked 114th, while Ben Lomond is ranked 107th).
