Basketball Recap: Flambeau Piles Up the Points Against Winter

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Flambeau). They took their match on Thursday with ease, bagging a 77-32 win over the Winter Warriors. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Flambeau was led to victory by Chanse Ludescher and Dominic Kopacz. Ludescher dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds, while Kopacz posted 28 points and seven boards. Ludescher continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Eli Hruby was another key player, putting up five points along with eight boards and four steals.

Flambeau's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Winter, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Flambeau wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 78-64 victory against Prairie Farm on the 14th. Winter has also already played their next game, an 88-54 defeat against Solon Springs on the 14th.
