Brimfield won the last time they faced Cuba/Spoon River Valley and things went their way on Monday too. The Indians had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Brimfield had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-20, 25-23.

Brimfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ashlyn Vaughn led the charge by getting six digs and five assists.

Brimfield's record is now 19-7. As for Cuba/Spoon River Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-9.
