The Simley Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Hill-Murray Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Simley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings (they are ranked 327th, while Hill-Murray is ranked 124th).
While Simley couldn't quite beat North on Friday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 40-point defeat they were dealt last Tuesday. Simley fell just short of North by a score of 47-44. Simley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Hill-Murray scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Tartan on the road to the tune of 82-54. Hill-Murray has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 25 points or more this season.
Simley has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Hill-Murray, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Simley took a serious blow against Hill-Murray in their previous meeting back in January, falling 59-25. Can Simley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
