St. Rita extended the longest winning streak in Chicago Catholic - Blue this week by beating Loyola Academy, 31-19. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Mustangs.
Mount Carmel took down Leo 59-13 last week, the largest margin of any game.
St. Rita's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. TOMMY MISTER threw for 115 yards and JULIAN CRUM had 43 yards receiving. On the ground MISTER contributed 220 yards. BRANDON GASTON helped St. Rita's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 43 yards.
MISTER was a force in the backfield as Todd Kuska's team bested the Ramblers.
MISTER was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 220 yards as the Mustangs beat Loyola Academy. CRUM also contributed to the rushing game with 33 yards on the ground.
St. Rita's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. MISTER has thrown for 955 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while CRUM has 17 catches for 400 yards. MISTER also leads the league in rushing with 1,262 yards.
Brother Rice made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,088 from 2,228. The improvement was largely due to a 28-22 victory over the Crusaders last week.
