Millie Pardue was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).
In other batting news, Eleanna Nappi and Destiny Goodwin did most of the damage at the plate: Nappi scored a run while going 1-for-4, while Goodwin scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Goodwin has posted since back in April of 2024. Shelby Thomas was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
Franklin Road Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Middle Tennessee Christian sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over Grace Christian Academy on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.
