The Rawlins County Buffaloes will head out on the road to face off against the Dundy County-Stratton Tigers on Tuesday. Hopefully Rawlins County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Rawlins County made easy work of Central Christian Academy and carried off a 53-33 victory.
Rawlins County can attribute much of their success to Abby Micek, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds, and Tayten Dewey, who scored 17 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Dewey has scored at least 25% of Rawlins County's points. Kayte Shively was another key contributor, scoring 3 points along with 15 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Dundy County-Stratton was the victim of a rough 53-31 defeat at the hands of Southwest on Tuesday. Dundy County-Stratton has struggled against Southwest recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
The victory got Rawlins County back to even at 1-1. As for Dundy County-Stratton, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Everything came up roses for Rawlins County against Dundy County-Stratton in their previous matchup back in February as the squad secured a 47-20 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rawlins County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
