Wasco has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Bishop Union Broncos at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wasco had no problem doing just that on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 27-10 victory over the Hawks.
Meanwhile, Bishop Union waltzed into Friday's match with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They skirted past Morro Bay 28-26.
It was another big night for Austin Powell, who rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns. Powell is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. Malachi Orrick was in the mix as well, providing Bishop Union with two touchdowns.
Wasco's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.3 points per game. As for Bishop Union, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.
