Duncan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 64-54 to the Morenci Wildcats. One positive for the Wildkats, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Duncan lost, don't look at Isaiah Sumner. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. Sumner has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Issac Harris, who posted seven points in addition to three steals and three blocks.

Duncan's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Morenci, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Duncan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-35 defeat against Valley on the 13th. As for Morenci, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-49 win against Fort Thomas on the 14th.
