The Nardin Academy Gators will take on the Lewiston-Porter Lancers in a holiday battle at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at. Nardin Academy is hoping to put an end to a 14-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, Nardin Academy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-41 victory over West Seneca West.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Nardin Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kara Krupski, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Braun, who scored six points along with 17 rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Lewiston-Porter gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on December 1st. They had just enough and edged Nichols out 39-36.
The win got Nardin Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Lewiston-Porter, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
