There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. A special shoutout goes to East St. Louis's senior Treven Swingler, who scored five total touchdowns in the team's most recent match.
Can't Touch This
East St. Louis got a 71 - 28 win over Alton last week, and a key reason for the win was junior DeMonta Witherspoon. Witherspoon rushed for 255 yards and three touchdowns. That performance landed Witherspoon among the top power-ranked players for the week.

After a challenging last week, Vianney now finds itself down six power ranking positions. No one has a better right to be disappointed since that was the biggest drop of the week. There's no need to mince words: it lost to Elder, and it lost bad. The score wound up at 48 - 7. Vianney unfortunately couldn't repeat the imposing 77-point effort it came up with in its previous game.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of last week's main attractions was the confrontation between Ladue Horton Watkins and Kirkwood, 2nd and 7th in the power rankings, respectively. Ladue Horton Watkins came out on top against Kirkwood with a 34 - 21 win. Even if it didn't bump Ladue Horton Watkins up the rankings, the victory at least kept the team from dropping.
