Maize's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 36-17 to Hutchinson.

Meanwhile, Haysville Campus' three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 30-20 victory over Newton.
With Maize's loss and Haysville Campus' win, both teams now sport identical 2-5 records.
Everything came up roses for Maize against Haysville Campus in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 59-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Maize since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
