Softball Recap: Chandler Prep Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Chandler Prep never got on the board in their matchup on Monday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Leading Edge Academy - GEC on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 24-18 win. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won six in a row.

Kate W was a standout: she got on base in four of her six plate appearances with five runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Cara Ramey, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.

Chandler Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Leading Edge Academy - GEC only managed eight hits.

Chandler Prep pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.8 runs over those games. As for Leading Edge Academy - GEC, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Chandler Prep has already played their next contest, a 21-2 win against Maryvale Prep on the 17th. As for Leading Edge Academy - GEC, they will host Gilbert Classical Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
