The Cougars didn't even let the Camels on the board, marking the Cougars' second-straight 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won 15 matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.
Ava Grace Pruitt made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up a single earned run in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Rockingham County got a massive performance out of Kennidy Kirby, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. Those two triples gave Kirby a new career-high. The Bison narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Camels 15-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bison have posted since March 21st.
Rockingham County's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for High Point Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season.
