Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Niles North). They took down the ITW David Speer Academy Pride 60-46 on Saturday. Niles North's win was all the more impressive since the Pride were averaging only 29 points allowed on the season.

ITW David Speer Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Roshaunda Wilson, who posted 17 points along with five blocks and three steals. Wilson has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Miabella Collazo, who had 20 points.

With the victory, Niles North broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-9. As for ITW David Speer Academy, they moved to 7-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Niles North will challenge Niles West at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for ITW David Speer Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pritzker at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
