The Atlantic City Vikings waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with five straight wins but they left with six. They strolled past Hammonton with points to spare, taking the game 60-46. This was payback for Atlantic City, who suffered a 66-64 loss the last time these two teams met.
Atlantic City's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Khajuan Roseborough, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Roseborough has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Finks, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Atlantic City pushed their record up to 16-3 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points per game. As for Hammonton, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atlantic City will take on the Greyhounds at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. Pleasantville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while the Vikings are ranked 61st). As for Hammonton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bridgeton is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
