Basketball Recap: King's Academy's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

King's Academy waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 68-58 win over the Lake Worth Christian Defenders. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead King's Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Javian Jones, who went 6 of 15 en route to 20 points along with seven boards and six assists. The game was Jones' tenth in a row with at least ten points. Isaiah McCoy was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.

Jones wasn't the only one working in the assists department: King's Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Defeat or not, Lake Worth Christian got some senior leadership from Chase Troncale and Landen Harwood. Troncale went 11 for 22 on his way to 26 points and seven boards, while Harwood almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 41.4% of Lake Worth Christian's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Nick Gallo, who had six points and five boards.

King's Academy's record now sits at 11-5. As for Lake Worth Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

King's Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-47 victory against John Carroll Catholic on the 23rd. As for Lake Worth Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 97-49 win against Berean Christian on the 23rd.
