Summer Creek's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They never let the Humble Wildcats get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 13 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Summer Creek has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Humble, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-17-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Summer Creek is set to square off against their familiar foe Kingwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 3, the Mustangs 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Humble will take on rival Goose Creek Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
