This season hasn't been kind to the Haskell Indians, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 45-37 to Valley, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Haskell lost against Valley in their previous head to head back in December of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 55-31 score last time.
Valley found their leader in underclassman Kanyon Taylor, who scored 20 points along with 9 rebounds. The contest was Taylor's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Brayson Cruse was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Haskell's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Haskell will take on Roby at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tulia at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
